- The Mental Health Specialist is a position in which an employee of The Educational Alliance will provide culturally sensitive mental health services for children birth to age 3 including:
- Classroom/ child observations
- Consultations with teachers regarding individual children
- Home visits
- Parent meetings
- Referrals for families
- Parent workshops & support groups
- Trainings & mental health support for staff
- Other Duties:
- Collaborating with staff, families, community resources & systems to prevent, identify, treat and reduce the impact of mental health problems among children under the age of 3
- Work collaboratively with all staff, external colleagues, parents/guardians of clients to foster an environment of shared information
